In motion, in travelling, the world is opened up to us – but the speed
at which it keeps changing makes it impossible to dwell on any one thing for
very long. I am working to counter this. Dwelling on the banal and often unnoticed
events around us I aim to elevate their status. Beginnings and full-stops
become part of a wider arena; they take centre stage and become the main event.
Using traditional notions of cinematic endings and atmospheric incidental
music The End explores the audiences’ ability to reconstruct
what might have gone before and what they have missed of the bigger picture.
